1. “Posting a Resume” is not a function of the Moovup platform
The report stated that the victim “posted a personal resume on the Moovup platform and was contacted by scammers via WhatsApp a few days later.”
We wish to clarify: All resumes on the Moovup platform are entirely controlled by the job seekers themselves. Unless a job seeker actively submits an application for a specific job opening, no employer can search for, view, or obtain the contact number or resume details of the job seeker.
Moovup strictly adheres to personal data privacy regulations and will never disclose user information to unauthorized third parties. Moovup is most careful in the protection of user privacy.
2. Rigorous verification of employer authenticity
Moovup has always been committed to weeding out fake and fraudulent job posts. We have established a stringent vetting mechanism. In addition to requiring a Business Registration Certificate, we also require employers to provide office photos, industry licenses, and proof of past business activities (such as lease agreements) to verify their identity.
