Qualification and Requirements: - Diploma/ Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Installation and Building Services, Building Services Engineering or equivalent. - Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent (See Note). - Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in building services installations including minimum one year's working experience in the capacity of Building Services Inspector or above. Note: "Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. Place of Duty: - Work in the office of Housing Department / Hong Kong Housing Authority. Job Description: - To provide supervisory, technical and operational support for the implementation of the Asset Management System including preparation of system functions, testing, and nursing support - To monitor the performance of contractors on maintenance and improvement works for Building Services (BS) installations, supervise project works on-site and certify the completion of works. - To conduct site investigations, verify performance recommendations, provide advice on BS requirements and execute emergency plans. - To oversee the results of surveillance and maintenance tests conducted during routine maintenance, attend handover inspection of new properties and draw up maintenance plan for BS installations. - To liaise with estate management staff on budgets for BS projects and assist in budget control. - To liaise with estate management staff, contractors and utility companies regarding the planning and implementation of improvement works. - To assist in investigating complaints, collation of data and statistics for updating manuals, revising works procedures to enhance technical standard and works quality. - To examine the applications from telecommunication companies for system upgrades or equipment installations. - To perform any other duties as required.
